To confirm your reservation, a 50% deposit of the total tour cost is required. For group bookings, payment must be made in a single transaction; we are unable to accept individual payments.
Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the scheduled tour date will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days of the tour date will incur a charge equal to 50% of the total reservation cost.
If alternate dates are available, we will gladly make every effort to reschedule your tour without penalty.

A minimum of two guests is required for a tour to operate. Our largest van can accommodate for up to 14 guests.

We will provide a curated list of wineries that we believe offer the best experience for our tour groups, based on wine quality, location, and level of service. Your group can choose four of those listed. If there is a winery not included on our list that you would like to visit, please let us know — we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Guests typically enjoy approximately one hour at each winery. We also allow a 15-minute travel buffer between locations to ensure timely arrival for your prearranged reservations.

Our standard tours are approximately 5 hours in duration, from pickup to drop-off. Our Bachelorette Tour extends to approximately 6 hours, allowing additional time for a relaxed lunch experience.

The Local Tour Co. is pleased to offer complimentary round-trip transportation for guests staying within most areas of Prince Edward County. Please contact us for pickup fees outside of Picton, Bloomfield, and Wellington.
Your tour guide will meet you at the front entrance of your accommodation unless otherwise arranged.

Yes — tasting fees at each winery we visit are included in the cost of your tour. The number and selection of wines offered is at the sole discretion of each winery, but guests can typically expect 3–5 tastings, with pours of approximately 1–1.5 oz each.
All of the wineries we visit offer red, white, and rosé wines. Some also feature sparkling and fortified wines.
Please note: tasting fees are included with our guided tours only. They are not included with our Create Your Own Adventure shuttle service.

We offer a $50 discount for guests who choose not to participate in tastings. Non-tasting guests are welcome to purchase their own non-alcoholic beverages at wineries that offer them.

In accordance with provincial legislation, only guests aged 19 and over are permitted to consume alcohol. Children may be permitted on private tours and select services; please inquire at the time of booking for details.

All of our tours are private, ensuring a personalized experience for you and your group.

To comply with provincial laws, the consumption of alcohol in motor vehicles is prohibited. For this reason, alcohol may not be consumed inside our tour vans.

It is customary to tip your Local Tour Guide between 15% and 20%, based on your experience. Gratuities are not included in the price of your wine tour but are always appreciated!
