To confirm your reservation, we request a 50% deposit of the total tour cost. Please note that groups are required to book together with one form of payment, and individual payments cannot be accepted.
If you cancel your tour 7 days or more before the scheduled tour date, your payment will be fully refunded. Cancelling within 7 days of the scheduled tour will result in a 50% charge of the full reservation cost.
If alternate dates are available, we will make every effort to accommodate your reservation without penalty.

A minimum of two guests are required for a tour to run. Our largest vans can accommodate for up to 14 guests. If you are a group over 14 we may be able to use two vans for your group (depending on availability).

We will send you a recommended list of wineries that we think are the best for our tour groups in terms of quality of wines, location, and service. Please let us know if there is a winery that is not on our list and we will do our best to accommodate your request..

We spend approximately one hour at each winery. We give a 15 minute buffer to get to the next location in time for the prearranged reservation.

Our tours are approximately 5 hours from time of pick up to time of drop off. Our Bachelorette Tour is 6 hours with the added time for lunch.

The Local Tour Co. is pleased to offer complimentary round trip transportation to our guests staying within most areas of Prince Edward County. Please contact us for pick up fees outside of Picton, Bloomfield and Wellington areas. Your tour guide will collect you at the front doors of your accommodations unless otherwise notified.

Yes! We include the cost of the tasting fees at each winery that we visit. The number and variety of wines offered is at the sole discretion of each winery, but it is typically 3-5 tastings with 1-1.5oz pours. All of the wineries we visit offer red, white and rose wines. Some offer sparkling and fortified wines as well.

You’ll taste a minimum of 12 wines on your tour.

We do not offer a discount however we do buy our non-tasting guests a non-alcoholic drink at each location we visit. Many locations offer local juices, lemonades, and soda waters. Some are also offering flights of non-alcoholic beverages.

In accordance with provincial legislation, only adults aged 19 and over are permitted to drink alcohol. For private tours and other related services, children may be permitted. Please inquire at the time of booking.

We always recommend that our guests check out AirBnB, Verbo or StayPEC - Prince Edward County’s official accommodations association to find their perfect holiday rental.

No. All of our tours are private tours.

To comply with provincial Laws, consuming alcohol in motor vehicles is not legal. Thus consuming within the tour vans is not permitted.

It is customary to tip your Local Tour Guide between 15% to 20% based on your experience. Gratuities are not included in the price of your Wine Tour.
